In this workshop, we'll focus on the fundamentals of narrative improvisation. By emphasizing strong emotional wants, we can discover how to tell a coherent story with a satisfying conclusion through group work. We'll also touch on various narrative styles with which we can pull from to inform our choices.

Workshop: Sunday, July 14th, 3:00pm-5:30pm

Teacher: Andy Junk

Bio:

Andy Junk, a Chicagoland native, performed for over 10 years  on house teams with Chicago’s iO Theater (formerly the Improv Olympic), and is a member of the lauded Improvised Shakespeare Company. He has a BFA in Acting from Illinois Wesleyan University, has studied at the iO Theater, and is also a graduate of the Second City Conservatory. Before moving to New York, Andy was an instructor at the iO Theater, and has led master classes throughout the United States. As an actor, he can be seen on television in Joe Pera Talks with You, Shameless, The Patriot, Chicago PD, and is currently the spokesperson for AmericanEagle.com
