The Brooklyn Comedy Collective (BCC) is an alt comedy theater and school in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn with a mission to produce irreverent, fearless shows from a wide range of voices, pay its artists, and inspire students to approach performance from a place of joy and fierceness. We believe in the power of collective decision making, ensuring a diversity of voices are at the table, that everyone is treated with equity, and that nobody is ‘cooler’ than anyone else at the BCC. From year-round comedy classes to workshops for businesses to three yearly festivals and live comedy every Tues-Sunday night in East Williamsburg, we celebrate anyone who wants to let their freak flag fly.

We offer a wide array of classes in improv, sketch, and stand-up and more - available year-round at our fabulous training centers in North Brooklyn - The Dog House (137 Montrose Ave, Brooklyn) & The Pig Pen (144 Boerum St, Brooklyn).

Just a 1 minute walk away, we produce shows Tuesday-Sunday at our two-floor, kick-ass theater called Eris (167 Graham Ave, Brooklyn). You should stop by for our open mic, a grimy little improv show, or a glorious high-production comedy show.

We offer private corporate shows and workshops teaching the skills of improvisation to businesses and orgs of all size, including Fortune 500 companies, at our space our yours.

We produce three major festivals each year: Pitchfest (staged readings of pilots and one-person shows for invited industry), Fun & Dumb (one of the world’s largest improv festivals, featuring over 600 performers over 4 days across 3 stages), and as part of the New York Comedy Festival (36 shows featured at BCC in the 2023 festival).

Whatever you want to see or do, we have. And if we don’t, well by God and Christ himself, submit your show and be a part of the BCC community, jump into a class with us, or say hello at our free open mic and improv jams. We’d love to have you.
