Stacy & Phil share the same goal - teaching actors that they are enough and should show up in audition rooms, on set, and in life as themselves. They love watching actors grow and have had the honor of helping many people start their careers in the commercial and film industry.

About an hour before class starts, we send out 2 scripts the students will be working on. When they join, they are assigned one of the scripts and a partner and sent to a breakout room to rehearse the copy. They come back and perform the script for the class, Phil and Stacy give them feedback, and they do it once more in the opposite roles! It's the perfect opportunity for students to learn commercial improv, hone their skills if they are already experienced, and get a sense of sitting in on a commercial audition.

Bio:

Stacy Gallo has been a casting director in New York City for the past 25 years. Beginning her career as a casting assistant, Stacy found what she loved and excelled at early in spaces such as MTV and production companies. In 2008, she ventured out on her own and formed Stacy Gallo Casting. She is an actor-friendly casting director with a goal to make performers feel comfortable to be themselves in their audition. While teaching class at UCB, she met talent agent Phil Casesse.

Phil found his start in music working as a publicity director for countless talented artists. He made his way to running the commercial division at a small theatrical agency ultimately leading to his current work with Stewart Talent.
