This class is limited to 12 students.
Get an in depth look at what it takes to produce a show from start to finish, and take your shows to the next level. This workshop will teach you how to develop, budget/finance, book and grow your show. You will learn about various theatres and various disciplines from sketch to improv, to plays and musicals and which theatre they are best for. Each participant will come in with an idea to produce or develop. Through the workshop, you will learn the basics of producing in order to create a practical roadmap for your show. Whether it is Off-Broadway and beyond, a tour, or a taped comedy special, this class will teach you how to get your show to where you want it to be! This class is great for people looking to self-produce, and is best for people considering producing as a career.
*There will be materials such as budgets which you will be able to take home with you!
5-Week Workshop: Mondays, 7:00PM - 10:00 PM, July 21st - August 25th

Instructor: Alan Kliffer
Alan Kliffer has been directing and producing theater and comedy for over twenty years, with work profiled in Time Out NY. Beginning in Canada, Kliffer created various sketch troupes and began producing comedy shows at the age of 15. In Toronto, he established Kliffer Entertainment, and developed award-winning comedy shows, musicals and plays. In New York, Kliffer served as the Artistic Director of Asylum NYC in Chelsea, and helped to launch the global sensation Titanique. Kliffer produced audition showcases for SNL, JFL and The Tonight Show, and subsequently served as the Inaugural Artistic Director for The Second City New York. Alan is currently an independent producer, and over the past year produced a tour and showcases for Stephen Brower's Palatable Gay Robot, Flop! (a two-act fully improvised musical), and has many other shows in various stages of development. @klif
