{Virtual} Writing Your Comedy Pilot w/ Alex Gonzalez (March- April) (Mondays)
{Virtual} Writing Your Comedy Pilot w/ Alex Gonzalez (March- April) (Mondays)
This class is limited to 10 students.
This class will teach you the fundamentals of writing a standard 3-Act comedy pilot with heavy emphasis on structure and craft: act breaks, scene transitions, plot lines, and everything in between. Students should expect a challenging workload with lots of reading, writing, and analyzing. Over the course of 7-weeks, via a roundtable workshop structure, we will develop your idea from conception to a fully-fledged, presentable pilot.
Homework: bring a few pilot ideas/premises to pitch along with examples of television pilots you enjoy to the first class. Note that there will be significant amounts of writing and reading other students’ work that will be expected in-between each class.
7-Week Class: Mondays, 7:00PM - 10:00 PM, March 2nd - April 13th
Class may end between 9:30 - 10:00 PM depending on the number of enrollments.
This class is virtual. More information will be provided in your welcome email.
This class does not end in a class show.
