In this Improv-to-Sketch/Character workshop, students will be given a crash-course in the fundamentals of developing a sketch or solo character through the process of improvisation. From ideating a premise to improvising that premise to honing and editing that premise based on feedback and instinct, students can expect to leave with a firm understanding of the joys of developing an idea through the lens of improvisation.

Bio:
Devin Bockrath is a New York based actor, improviser, and comedy writer. A native of Chicago, she began her career at the iO and Annoyance Theaters. Upon moving to New York, she trained as a dramatic actor with the Atlantic Theater School and currently teaches at The Brooklyn Comedy Collective. Her credits include Joe Pera Talks With You (Adult Swim/Max), The Daily Show (Comedy Central), The Other Two (Comedy Central), Girls 5 Eva (Peacock) and That Damn Michael Che (Max).
