Eris Mainstage

In an effort to give back, two self-important performers take to the stage to examine the importance of live comedic theater. Coming to New York for a one-night-only performance after a sold-out Chicago run, LIGHTS follows two pretentious actors using an all-blackout sketch show to give an unsolicited lesson in “sketch theatre,” flailing to move an audience — and their careers forward. Over the course of the show, they answer questions about comedy’s power and potential, while unintentionally posing others about enablement, entitlement and whose voices get amplified.
