A new play from Ben Loftus, a surreal family comedy about breakups, genetic experiments, and family custody — with a human sized puppet!
Childhood sweethearts Sam and Eileen finalize the details of their impending divorce and divy up items in their once shared apartment. They’re forced to reconcile with their emotional fallout, the damage they have done to one another and their shared fear of a future spent without the other.
They also have to deal with Bumpo, the product of a highly secretive experiment in which Eileen, a scientist, spliced her & Sam’s DNA with that of a stray dog, whom they’ve been raising as their child for a year.
