Brooklyn Comedy Collective (BCC) is a comedy theater and comedy school in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn dedicated to producing fearless, irreverent shows, paying artists, and helping students grow through joy, play, and creative boldness.

From year-round improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy classes to live comedy shows Tuesday through Sunday, free open mics and jams, corporate improv workshops, and annual comedy festivals, BCC is where Brooklyn comes to let its freak flag fly.

Our teaching philosophy is simple

This means not taking yourself too seriously. Mistakes are part of the process. The more pressure you put on being perfect, the harder it is to stay playful, open, and creative.

Once you get out of your own way, you can celebrate what you and your fellow performers bring to the table. That’s where the best comedy lives — in commitment, collaboration, and joy.

By holding both ideas in our head, we remember why we fell in love with comedy - one of the most wonderful things in the world - while not taking it too seriously.

Live Comedy Shows in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Just a one-minute walk from our training spaces, Brooklyn Comedy Collective produces up to 30 comedy shows a week from Tuesday through Sunday in East Williamsburg, ranging from improv to sketch to stand-up to clowning and more.

BCC Festivals

Brooklyn Comedy Collective produces three major festivals each year, helping spotlight new work, emerging talent, and some of the funniest performers in comedy.
