Improv Level 4: Creating Sketch Through Improv w/ Andrew Tisher (June/July)

Class limited to 12 students.

This class builds on the training in Level 3 of becoming an artist with a strong point of view, who creates and produces original work through improvisation. So often we judge our work before it's time to do so. We will get out of our heads and on our feet in this class to improvise as much content as possible and create through volume. Students will be tasked weekly to come in with original material, ranging from character pieces to premises for group sketches. These pieces will then be workshopped via improvisation with the ensemble into a sketch revue to be performed at The Brick Theater. Students will graduate class with an actionable method to get to work and produce on your own and with an ensemble of fellow writer/performers to collaboratively create with you.

Andrew Tisher was the producer of the weekly sketch revue The Holy Fuck Comedy Hour at the Annoyance Theater NY and is a current cast member of the BCC’s weekly improv-sketch revue TV DINNER.
