First time taking an improv class? You’re in the right place.

This class will introduce new improvisers to the value of saying “Yes, And” to every idea - especially their own - to become joyful, fearless, and bold performers. Through games and exercises, this class will teach students the essentials of successful scenic improvisation -- to react emotionally and honestly, to trust your gut, to support scene partners and embrace taking risks. Whether you want to be a performer or just try out an improv class and meet new people, this class will boost your confidence and creativity in a safe, supportive environment at Brooklyn’s top comedy theater and school.

6-Week Section: Mondays, 7:00-10:00 PM, June 3 - July 15 (no class July 8)

@ Patchworks Theater (98 Moore St, Brooklyn)

Class Show: Friday, July 19 @ 7:00 PM

Teacher: Rachel Rosenthal

Testimonials from past students:

“Rachel brought us all out of our heads and into the present while teaching us the fundamentals of improv. Every class was fun, engaging, and challenging. I could not recommend this class more highly for those interested in improv!”

“So many strengths hard to pin-point the greatest. Rachel was great at diagnosing scenes and offering concise and easy-to-apply/easy-to-remember feedback to improve them on our feet which was super helpful. Also maybe just how everything was honestly always so much fun it's hard to pump out constant fun for 3 hours - i don’t know how she did it, but she did and she made it look easy.”

“I learned *how* to be more comfortable jumping into scenes with a strong emotional POV. I emphasize *how* because this is something I have struggled with but Rachel's class really helped me learn to connect my brain and my body.“
